Not long ago in the city where our store is located (Laguna Beach, CA), there was a multi-car accident in which none of the humans were hurt, but a small dog was thrown out of the car and immediately was killed.  A simple dog restraint belt would have saved his life.

As pet lovers, we need to get this point across to people.  So, if you have any related stories (good or bad) regarding a dog safety restraint, we want to hear them!  Please add your comments!

Please, people!  Whether or not your dog has clothing will not affect his ego or make him want to kill you.  The bottom line (for me) is this…  Clothing will definitely NOT hurt or embarrass your dog.  In fact, many small breeds of dogs get cold rather easily and can benefit from clothing.  Especially if you happen to live in a cold climate.  When it rains, do you like to go out without a coat?  Why would a dog be any more comfortable without a dog raincoat during a downpour?  These are not wild animals, these are domesticated animals that are often used to being inside.  In many cases, it may be cruel for you NOT to put clothing on your dog-  especially smaller breed dogs.  So perhaps the ego you should worry about is that of the owner and not the dog :)
