Seems like there is always talk about dog apparel and whether or not a person should put clothes on their dog. I always have to laugh at people who say things like “My dog would be so embarrassed to wear clothes.” or “My dog would KILL me if I put him/her in clothes.”
Please, people! Whether or not your dog has clothing will not affect his ego or make him want to kill you. The bottom line (for me) is this… Clothing will definitely NOT hurt or embarrass your dog. In fact, many small breeds of dogs get cold rather easily and can benefit from clothing. Especially if you happen to live in a cold climate. When it rains, do you like to go out without a coat? Why would a dog be any more comfortable without a dog raincoat during a downpour? These are not wild animals, these are domesticated animals that are often used to being inside. In many cases, it may be cruel for you NOT to put clothing on your dog- especially smaller breed dogs. So perhaps the ego you should worry about is that of the owner and not the dog
